As Dilip Kumar Turns 96, Amitabh Bachchan Shares A Heartfelt Post For 'The Ultimate Master Of His Craft'

As Dilip Kumar turns 96, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan who has worked with him on several films took to Twitter and shared a heartfelt post for the 'ultimate master of his craft'. The two have worked on various films such as 'Shakti' and have also starred on the small screen together when they hosted '100 years of Indian cinema' edition along with Shah Rukh Khan. 

Taking to the micro-blogging site, he tweeted "The ultimate MASTER of his craft .. Dilip Kumar - Mohammed Yusuf Khan .. turns 96 .. prayers and duas for his good health and happiness always .. the history of Indian Cinema shall always be written as 'before Dilip Kumar and after Dilip Kumar''

Previously, speaking to a leading media publication, Dilip Kumar's friend Faisal Farooqui revealed that the actor is not a fan of birthdays and so likes small gatherings and spending quality time with a few people. He further revealed that Dilip Kumar's birthday was celebrated in a big way, back when he had turned 89 years old.

Of recent, the actor has been admitted to the hospital several times, owing to his age. In August 2017, the 96-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital due to dehydration and fever. Back then it was reported there were discrepancies in the function of his kidney and was kept under observation for a few days before getting discharged.

 In the past few years, the actor has been admitted to the hospital several times, owing to age-related illness. In fact, in 2016 the actor was admitted to the hospital twice. He even celebrated his birthday in the hospital on December 11, 2016.
