More names of film industry came out in support of farmers who have been protesting against Government over passing of three agricultural laws. While celebrities associated with Punjabi film industry h been raising ir voice, w those from Hindi film industry also joined. After Dharmendra, Priyanka Chopra and Sonu Sood, actors like Sonam K Ahuja, Parineeti Chopra, Preity Zinta, among ors also lent ir support to farmers and sought a quick resolution of impasse.

Sharing pictures of farmers protesting at borders of Delhi, Preity Zinta wrote that her heart went out to farmers and ir families ‘protesting in cold in this pandemic.’ actor termed m as ‘soldiers of soil that keep our country going.’ Kal Ho Na Ho star ‘sincerely hoped’ that talks between farmers and government ‘yield positive results’ and hoped ‘everything is resolved.’
Sonam K Ahuja also posted pictures of protesting farmers and shared a quote from Daniel Webster, "When till begins, or arts follow. farmers, refore, are founders of human civilization." actor also used a hashtag of movement name ‘Delhi Chalo’.

On her Instagram stories, she shared posts from a handle on what laws were about, and apprehensions of farmers. Her husband, entrepreneur Anand Ahuja also penned a detailed te, highlighting fears of farmers on “free market” or letting farmers sell directly. He sought to kw if re were safety mechanisms over much debated Minimum Support Price, on farmers being ‘strong-armed’ by corporates and possibilities of corruption.

Parineeti Chopra shared a post from singer-rapper Bshah, about one being grateful to farmers for food on table.

Farmer protests update
Meanwhile, protests entered Day 12, as sixth meeting, third after start of protests, failed to arrive at a consensus. farmers have called for a ‘Bharat Bandh’ on Tuesday, which has been backed by Opposition parties. next round of farmers-Centre discussions have been scheduled for Wednesday.
