Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Trailer: Ajay Devgn-Tabu Reunite In Love Story Spanning 23 Years

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha features Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the lead roles with Shantanu Maheshwari, Sai Manjerekar and Jimmy Sheirgill. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film will hit the big screens on July 5. Ahead of the release, the makers of the movie released the trailer today. The musician romance drama narrates a love story spanning over 23 years. 

Ajay Devgn-Tabu features in a love story spanning over 23 years 

The Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha trailer opens with a young couple promising to be with each other forever. The visuals then show Ajay Devgn serving a sentence in prison. On the completion of his jail sentence, the actor’s character makes an unusual request to not be released. 

On the other hand, Tabu’s character is shown as a married woman living a comfortable life. She comes to visit Ajay in the chawl where he resides after being released from jail. Jimmy Sheirgill plays the role of Tabu’s husband. Tabu and Ajay are shown to be long-time lovers who are separated after the actor is reprimanded. What happens when they meet again and why he was sent to prison form the plot of the film. Sharing the trailer online, Devgn wrote in the caption, “Epic. Intense. Unforgettable!” 

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha to finally release after several delays 

The release date of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has changed several times. From April 2024, the release date was shifted to Eid al-Adha in June, around the same time as Chandu Champion starring Kartik Aaryan. The film, presented by NH Studios, is produced by Friday Filmworks, Shital Bhatia, Narendra Hirawat, and Kumar Mangat Pathak (Panorama Studios) in association with Mangal Murti Films.

Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravaani will be creating an original soundtrack for the film, which spans 23 years between 2000 and 2023. Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has been shot extensively in Mumbai. It will be Pandey's sixth directorial venture. He is best known for helming titles such as A Wednesday, Special 26 and M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.
