Ayushmann Khurrana is having an excellent 2019. His movie Article 15 was a both critical and commercial success. After surprising everyone with his performance as a police officer, Ayushmann is all set to return in his comedy avatar with Dream Girl. actor is seen alongside Nusrat Bharucha who was previously seen in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety back in 2018. Dream Girl also features veteran actors like Vijay Raaz and Annu Kapoor in prominent roles.

Dream Girl hit silver screen on September 13. It has received positive to mediocre reviews by critics. film centres around Karam who is struggling for employment and starts working at a 'Friendship Call Centre'. By using a seductive female voice, Karam starts talking to lonely men and be ir friend over phone. This leads to a lot of confusion as situations unforeseen arise. film is a romantic comedy with all elements of a successful Hindi film thrown in.

Talking about Ayushmann and Nusrat's Jodi in film, romance is as good as n-existent. Nusrat is t given much to do with her role, which makes her dialogues feel repetitive in film. Nusrat and Ayushmann's love story is t driving force of film, which is why it is t developed eugh. With a run-time of 137 minutes, Dream Girl is a crisply written and directed, which does t allow movie to wander too far away in romance direction. Nusrat Bharucha's role could have been credited as a cameo, and it wouldn't be offending. film is directed by Raj Shaandilyaa who has previously written movies like Freaky Ali and Welcome back. Talking about box office performance, movie has opened up to be Ayushmann's best first-day collection till date.
