Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala's trailer was recently released amid much fanfare. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the movie narrates the tale of a bald man trying to find a suitable bride for marriage. Bala also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam in the lead. The trailer of Bala arose several questions in the minds of the audience due to its resemblance to Abhishek Pathak's upcoming movie, Ujda Chaman. The film, starring Sunny Singh and Maanvi Gagroo in the lead, is the official remake of Kannada movie Ondu Motteya Katthe. The resemblance has sparked speculations of a tussle between the makers of Bala and Ujda Chaman.

While the makers of Ujda Chaman are reportedly planning to take the matter to court, the lead actor is in awe of Bala, especially Ayushmann's performance. In an interview, Sunny Singh ecstatically revealed how he was spellbound by Ayushmann's mesmerising performance and is thinking of giving Bala a watch. He further revealed how his relationship with Ayushmann is not under any peril due to the movie tussle. Speaking to the Press Trust of India he said, "I am away from all of this. I am doing a film. I am also getting to know that this film (Bala) is kind of similar. Initially you feel like, 'Why and how is this happening?' But then you feel it's okay. He's playing his part, I am playing mine. We both are actors doing our jobs. I love him and I'm a fan of his acting. Even if people compare, the makers know both actors have put in their best. Which film works at the box office is another thing. I am only concerned about respect from the audience and makers. Comparisons with him won't bother me."

The Ayushmann Khurrana starrer is slated to release on November 7, 2019. On the other hand, the Sunny Singh starrer is scheduled to release on November 8, 2019.
