On the occasion of Ayushmann Khurrana's 35th birthday, on Saturday, wife Tahira Kashyap Khurrana came forward to give a shout-out to her actor husband.

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who is known for portraying diverse roles with perfection, has garnered immense appreciation for picking up films that are offbeat, unique as well as socially relevant. Recently, on the occasion of his 35th birthday, on Saturday, September 14, wife filmmaker Tahira Kashyap Khurrana came forward to give a shout-out to her actor husband. She took to social media and shared a series of pictures from Ayushmann Khurrana's birthday bash and penned a heartfelt note for him on Instagram.

While the first picture featured Tahira Kashyap kissing husband Ayushmann on his cheek, the third photo revealed Bhumi Pednekar, Neeti Mohan, Manjot, Nushrat Bharucha, Anand L Rai, and Ekta Kapoor were part of the celebration. In the post, she talked about how Ayushmann Khurrana has evolved as an actor over the years and said that her life is beautiful because of him. She also thanked all the attendees for making the day so memorable.

Tahira Kashyap and Ayushmann Khurrana's relationship

Tahira Kashyap and Ayushmann Khurrana who began dating in college, have two children together -- son Virajveer, born in 2012 and daughter Varushka, born in 2014. The doting husband stood by his wife's side when she was diagnosed with cancer.

Tahira Kashyap's fight with Cancer

Tahira Kashyap who was diagonised with Cancer last year has sucessfully battled the disease and has now taken the initiative to raise awareness about the same. She had kept fans updated about her heart conditions throughout her journey and her positive manner of narrating her diagnosis and treatment has been serving as a huge inspiration to the patients' battling the disease.

Ayushmann Khurrana received the news on his birthday 

Ayushmann has said he first heard about his wife’s cancer on his birthday. He opened up about this in an interview on April 2019. When questioned about the topic, Ayushmann Khurrana spoke of Tahira Kashyap's bravery in the face of such adversity. The actor also lauded his wife for helping him stay strong through her fight against cancer. Ayushmann said, “It was very difficult. Very difficult and thanks to her that she was brave enough to take that positively. Otherwise, we would have broken, completely. I was in the middle of the two films. I was promoting these two films - Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho. And we got to know about it on my birthday. We saw Manmarziyaan on September 14, and we got to know about this disease that day."

Ayushmann Khurrana's recent ventures

Ayushmann Khurrana's latest outing 'Dream Girl' has been welcomed with rave reviews. Besides this, Ayushmann Khurrana also has a number of films in the pipeline for release. He will be starring in 'Bala', 'Gulabo Sitabo' and, 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' and all three films are set for a 2020 release.

Dream Girl

The comedy-drama 'Dream Girl' features Ayushmann Khurrana as a Tele caller who aces his female alter ego Pooja while calling his customers. The film takes interesting turns as his customers eventually fall for him, unaware of his originality and come down to pulling each other's hair. Filmmaker Raaj Shaandilyaa made his directorial debut with 'Dream Girl'. Besides Ayushmann Khurrana, the film also stars Nushrat Bharucha, Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, and Vijay Raaz among others in the lead.
