Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Non-payment Row: Months after the release of Akshay Kumar -Tiger Shroff starrer, the director and producer have locked horns. Ali Abbas Zafar moved to the Director's Association with his non-payment complaint against film producer Pooja Entertainment headed by Vashu Bhagnani. The producer, in turn, accused the maker of misappropriation of the funds and also filed a suit against Netflix. With the issue gaining more traction each day, the cast and crew of the movie has now voiced their support for the director.

Days after the reports of a rift between the director and producer came to light, actor Khalid took to his Instagram account to share a post supporting Ali Abbas Zafar. Taking to his Instagram story, the actor alleged that he head to “beg” the production house to clear his dues and it was ultimately the director who settled his payments. He also claimed that Vashu's son and actor Jackky Bhagnani refused to listen to his complaints and blocked him. He wrote, “In such a situation, it was only the team at AAZ Films who would always answer the calls and reassure me that I would be paid. The team at AAZ Films paid us and cleared our dues."

Action director Parvez Shaikh also took to his social media to share that Ali Abbas Zafar-led AAZ Films have always stood by their words and have never backed out from making due payments. He asserted that the accusations against the director were "completely baseless." Parvez added in a long note, "They are people of their word when it comes to business."

Editor of the film Steven Bernard also shared on Instagram that he was in urgent need of funds and followed up with Pooja Entertainment constantly, but did not get a response. He expressed gratitude to AAZ Films for helping him in the situation. He wrote, “I had a very urgent and serious family emergency with my father’s hospitalization for over two months and needed funds. I followed up regularly, but there was no breakthrough. Throughout, AAZ Films were supportive and assured me that I would receive my remuneration. Finally, this week, after the subsidy from Abu Dhabi was released, thanks to the team from AAZ Films, I received the last installment in full.”

Pooja Entertainment accuse Ali Abbas Zafar of misappropriation of funds 

Vashu Bhagnani had filed a complaint against Ali Abbas Zafar, who directed the commercial and critical disaster ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, for syphoning the subsidy funds he took from Abu Dhabi authorities during the shoot of the film. Ali is yet to respond to these allegations.

However, in the past there have been several allegations against Pooja Entertainment over non-payment to the BTL of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan including the stunt team, the lighting team and people on the lower rung of the film unit.
