Yami Gautam tasted instant success in her career after she co-starred with Ayushmann Khurrana in her first Bollywood film, 'Vicky Donor'. The actress made her debut in a Kannada film 'Ullasa Utsaha', and today is one of the leading actresses in the industry. Yami's recent hit 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' entered the 100cr club in the eighth day of its release. Yami's filming journey has made her play different characters that signified her charm. Reportedly, she is set to reunite with her Vicky-Donor co-star, Ayushmann Khurrana in the upcoming comic-caper, Bala.

However, fans were disappointed when they could not catch Yami in the recently released glimpse of the film.

Bala movie features a story of a man who balds prematurely

Ayushmann Khurrana took to his Instagram earlier this year to share that the shooting of the film has begun. The actor has a couple of films lined up in his kitty for 2019. Bala movie talks about a story of a man who balds prematurely. In a recent interview with Rajeev Masand, Ayushmann shared, "There are a lot of people who suffer from premature baldness in their 20's. Deep down they have this complex. Bala is that guy! Bala is in his 20's, and hence he feels more complex about it because his peers have healthy hair. The fact that he used to have good hair and he was the stud of the class, and suddenly this baldness is happening, he could not deal with it."

Even though Ayushmann gave us a crux of the plot of Bala movie, the actor did not reveal much about Yami Gautam's look in the film.

No Yami Gautam in the teaser trailer

The Bala movie teaser trailer was recently launched, and it did not have Yami Gautam in it. The actress will be sharing the screen with Ayushmann, again, after their 2012 debut, Vicky Donor.

According to sources, Yami Gautam will play the character of a supermodel from Lucknow. As of now, the actress has not done a black comedy film before. In a recent interview, Yami Gautam said, "There have been challenges and downfalls. But that is how the industry works. Bringing together everything that is expected of you, is more important to me than anything else." The cast of Bala has wrapped the shooting of their film in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The movie is slated for a release on 22nd November 2019.
