Bala starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ujda Chaman starring Sunny Singh is set to clash at the box-office. The audience on social media is dived about these films as the trailers have revealed a similar storyline. While the makers of Ujda Chaman are calling it a remake of Kannada film Ondu Motteya Kathe, Bala has been allegedly claimed as an original screenplay. Bala vs Ujda Chaman
Bala starring Ayushmann Khurrana is a tale about a man in his late twenties who suffers from premature balding. Ayushmann Khurrana according to the trailer can be seen going through different phases of balding. His character Bala can be seen romancing Yami Gautam’s character in the film. Ayushmann Khurrana has been paired opposite Yami Gautam after his debut film Vicky Donor.
Ujda Chaman which has been directed by Abhishek Pathak stars Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame Sunny Singh in the lead role. Ujda Chaman as the maker’s claim is a remake of the Kannada film Ondu Motteya Kathe. Amazon Prime’s Four More Shots Please actor Manavi Gagroo is also part of the film. Both the films Bala and Ujda Chaman has created a divide among the audience. Some people are supporting the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer and calling it another hit film for the actor while some are applauding Sunny Singh’s portrayal of a young bald man. The makers of Ujda Chaman have reportedly planned to take legal action against the makers of Bala. The movie Bala which was previously going to be released on November 15 preponed its date November 7 just a day before the release of Ujda Chaman. Ujda Chaman is set to release on November 8. Bala has received severe criticism for Bhumi Pednekar playing the role of a dark-skinned girl even though the actor is fair-skinned in real life. This issue is receiving backlash by social media users. Now it will be interesting to see any further development in this clash. The audience is definitely excited for both these films even though they seem to showcase a similar storyline with a different choice of genres. Bala is a black comedy and Ujda Chaman is a comedy-parody.
