dimensions and criteria for a 'good' film in Bollywood are changing in recent times. ways, content is king for viewers. re are several small-budget films which have won many laurels in past due to ir strong subject and powerful performances. This year also saw some impressive films which were talk of town due to ir gritty subject and table performances. However, in spite of ir imposing mess and performances, some films of this year failed to get ir due recognition. se films also garnered a moderate response at box office despite remarkable content.

Here are some of underrated films of this year

Batla House

film is t only an underrated one but is also touted to be one of best performances of John Abraham. It revolved around infamous Batla House shootout which took place on September 19, 2008. John's character was based on police officer Sanjeev Kumar Yav who played an important role in real incident. With some brilliant performances, intricate filmmaking by Nikhil vani and some clap-worthy dialogues, film surely deserved more recognition and accoles from masses.

Section 375

trailer of film h grabbed several eyeballs due to gritty subject and high octane performances by le actors, Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chha. film revolved around Section 375 of Indian Penal Code. plot revolved around a young woman accusing her employer of raping her while Akshaye and Richa played lawyers who are on a quest to defend ir respective clients. film h reportedly acquired a lot of acclaim from critics with courtroom scenes being high point of film. Neverless, it failed to get required recognition and also acquired only Rs 22 crore at box office.

Sky Is Pink

film was an emotional rollercoaster ride as it revolved around life of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhury who was diagsed with pulmonary fibrosis. film also showed turmoil of her parents which were essayed by Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar. movie h a strong narrative and some power-packed performances. Despite receiving many acclaims, it did t get its due credit at box office and acquired only Rs 34 crore at box office, reportedly.
