Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2: Kartik Aryan and Kiara Advani begin shooting

Kartik Aryan and Kiara Advani have kick-started the shoot of their upcoming horror-comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film is slated to hit the screens in July 2020. The Luka Chuppi actor took to his social media account to share a picture with Kiara announcing the shooting of the film. Kartik shared the official poster of the film in August 2019. He was seen wearing similar clothes to Akshay Kumar who was the lead actor of Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007).

Akshay Kumar’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa was originally helmed by Priyadarshan in 2007. It was based on the Tamil film Chandramukhi with Rajnikanth in the lead role. Chandramukhi, too, was a remake of the Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu (1993). Bhool Bhulaiyaa is targeting to wrap up the shoot by the coming March. While fans had suspected and hoped that Akshay Kumar will make a special appearance or a cameo in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, there has been no official announcement about the same. The film is written by Farhad Samji and Aakash Kaushik and produced by Bhushan Kumar. Along with Akshay Kumar, the original Bhool Bhulaiyaa also starred Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja, Paresh Rawal, Ameesha Patel, Rajpal Yadav, Vikram Gokhale, Manoj Joshi, and Rasika Joshi. The performance of Vidya Balan was particularly the talk of the town after the release of the film. It can be said that her character of Monjulika is still alive in the audience’s mind. The first Bhool Bhulaiyaa was a cult classic, and, seeing the popularity of the film, Kartik Aryan and Kiara Advani have some big shoes to fill.

Kartik Aryan will also be seen in Pati, Patni Aur Woh alongside Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar. The actor is also set to come up with an on-screen love story in Aaj Kal. Aaj Kal is the sequel of the Love Aaj Kal, which starred Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan. Sara Ali Khan will be seen opposite Kartik Aryan in Aaj Kal. These are some of the most awaited films of Kartik Aryan that are set to release in 2020.
