Bhumi Pednekar is a popular Bollywood actor, who was last seen in Tushar Hiranandani's sports drama, Saand Ki Aankh. The movie, starring Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu in the lead, celebrates womanhood and denounces the prevalent patriarchy in the society. In an interview given to an online portal, the revealed she had been a victim of bullying and fat-shaming during her school days. She narrated how her classmates traumatised her for being a fat kid during her childhood. Though she dealt with the trauma and weight with resilience, the one incident that took her to surprise was when a producer offered her only 5% of her male counterpart's remuneration. Reportedly, the undisclosed actor had the same number of hits as Bhumi and also had the same career graph as her. Bhumi said that she still remembered this incident even though it occurred a few years back.

Bhumi Pednekar's current and upcoming projects

Bhumi Pednekar's last release, Bala, is raking big numbers at the box office. The movie starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam in the lead has earned more than 60 crores at the box office in the first week of its release. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Bala narrates the tale of a man suffering from premature balding. The Ayushmann Khurrana starrer has managed to impress the critics with its intriguing storyline.

Meanwhile, Bhumi is currently on a workcation in Bali, Indonesia. The actor will soon kickstart the promotional schedule of her upcoming movie, Pati Patni Aur Woh. Other the upcoming film, the actor, will also be seen in Takht. The historical drama has an ensemble cast consisting of Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Alia Bhatt. The movie is expected to hit the silver screens in 2020.
