Bhumi Pednekar is presently working on her upcoming movie Saand Ki Aankh. The movie also features Taapsee Pannu and is set to be released on October 25, 2019. Saand Ki Aankh is a biopic drama directed by Tushar Hiranandani and is produced by Reliance Entertainment and Anurag Kashyap. Prakash Jha will also be seen playing a significant role in Saand Ki Aankh.

Both the actors have been treating their followers with behind-the-scenes images from the sets of Saand Ki Aankh. Bhumi Pednekar took to Instagram and shared a picture where she was seen aiming a gun at the target alongside Taapsee Pannu. Bhumi Pednekar is dressed in a brown shirt and blue dupatta, whereas Taapsee wore an off-white shirt and yellow dupatta, the customary attire of the women from the village of Johri, Uttar Pradesh. She captioned the picture as, “Lagan himmat itni kari, ke buddhapa hatake jawaani aagayi”. 

In her other post, she was seen looking down, with her hair tied in plaits. The caption gave us a little insight of Bhumi Pednekar's character in Saand Ki Aankh, which says, “17 pe ho gai shaadi,18 tak aa gai munni pyaari , phir toh silsila chalta raha, jab tak humnien uthai bandook aur maar di”. The social media posts have created quite a stir among the audience. Fans and followers are intrigued to know more about Saand ki Aankh because of the BTS pictures shared by the actor.

The plot of Saand Ki Aankh

The plot of Saand Ki Aankh is based on the real-life story of sharpshooters Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomai. Bhumi Pednekar will be seen playing the character of Chandro Tomar and Taapsee Pannu will be playing the role of her sister-in-law Prakashi Tomar. Chandro Tomar nicknamed as ‘revolver dadi’ has won more than 30 national championships. Saand ki Aankh also marks the directorial debut of writer Tushar Hiranandani.
