Sabarmati Report: Based on real-life events, film features Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Digra and Raashii Khanna in le roles. Released on November 15, film has been amassing a decent collection at box office. Amid a successful atrical run, film has now been me tax-free in Mhya Presh.

Sabarmati Report me tax-free in Mhya Presh

On November 19, Mhya Presh Chief Minister Mohan Yav announced Sabarmati Report will be me tax-free in state, as per PTI. It is also being reported that Chief Minister has appealed to all state ministers to watch movie which uncovers truth of Godhara incident. Yav's decision comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah's endorsement of Vikrant Massey starrer.

As per ANI, Sabarmati Report is based on burning of S6 coach of Sabarmati Express near Godhra station (Gujarat) on February 27, 2002. At least 59 Hindu devotees returning from Ayodhya were burnt to death in incident, which led to riots in state later. PM Modi was Chief Minister of Gujarat at time of tragic event. A special screening of film was held in National Capital on November 18 in presence of  Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports and Labour and Employment Mansukh Mandaviya, actor Vikrant Massey and BJP MP Manoj Tiwari.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praises Sabarmati Report 

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Vikrant Massey starrer Sabarmati Report, a movie based on Godhra train-coach burning incident of 2002. He said it is good that "truth" is coming out. Prime Minister was replying to an X user who h praised movie and tagged him with a video of film's trailer. movie was released on Friday. "Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, facts will always come out!," PM Modi wrote on X.

Apart from Vikrant, film also stars Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna as journalists.
