UNICEF has been one of the leading forces for the betterment of children worldwide. Here are four Bollywood actors who have been associated with UNICEF's cause.

The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, now just called the United Nations Children's Fund, is one of the major branches of the United Nations. It deals with providing relief funds to children in conflict zones and promoting the education and welfare of children worldwide. Here are four Indian Bollywood actors who have been associated with UNICEF and their goal of helping children across the globe. 

Amitabh Bachchan

Perhaps the biggest name in Bollywood in the current era, Amitabh Bachchan has worked with UNICEF on several occasions and has also been appointed as one of their goodwill ambassadors. Amitabh Bachchan has been an advocate for UNICEF since 2002 and became their ambassadors for the girl child in 2004. Perhaps his most influential and famous campaign was for the advocation of the polio vaccine. His do boond Zindagi ki advertisements greatly benefitted the polio eradication drive in India.

Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan is one of the big three Khans of the Bollywood industry and is a superstar with a worldwide fan following. The actor was appointed as one of the National ambassadors by UNICEF on November 30, 2011. As a UNICEF ambassador, Aamir Khan has worked to spread awareness about child malnutrition.

Ayushmann Khuranna

The highly acclaimed actor Ayushmann Khurrana was recently appointed as a speaker by both UNICEF as well the Ministry of Women and Child Development. The actor was roped in to speak about the sexual abuse of children and to promote the Indian POSCO act that stipulates the laws that exist to combat and punish such offenses. He recently spoke about the topic publicly on October 22, 2019, and said that he always wanted to spread awareness about this issue as he felt that the abuse of children is the most heinous crime than one can commit.

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra is perhaps the most well-known ambassador for UNICEF. Priyanka Chopra has been a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF since 2010 and since then has devoted a lot of her attention to the noble cause of helping children. Some of her most successful campaigns as an ambassador include the Girl Up campaign that strived to help educate girls across the world and her Deepshikha campaign that helped young women and adolescent girls develop their work and entrepreneurship skills.

These are four of the most well known Bollywood actors who have been officially been associated with UNICEF. Other actors and celebrities that have been ambassadors or advocates for UNICEF include Sachin Tendulkar, Sharmila Tagore, and Kareena Kapoor. UNICEF continues to strive for the betterment of all children and these celebrities have been a tremendous benefit to that noble cause.
