Bollywood's multi-talented female actors who also turned singers

With Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s In My City and Exotic and Alia Bhatt’s Ikk Kudi, female Bollywood actors have become a showstopper in playback singing apart from acting. This transition is not a new process as legendary actors including Sridevi and Vyjayanthimala have also lent their melodious voice in their movie’s songs. 1. Alia Bhatt

Sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Samjhawan was included in Alia Bhatt’s 2014 romantic comedy-drama Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Bhatt lent her voice to its unplugged version, after making her singing debut with Sooha Saaha. The Highway actor also gave tunes to the club mix rendition of Ikk Kudi alongside Diljit Dosanjh in 2016 release Udta Punjab. The young actor also performs at live events.

2. Parineeti Chopra

Composed by Sachin-Jigar, Maana Ki Hum Yaar Nahi touched the right chords of the audience by talking about the harsh realities of the breakup. After making her crooning debut with this melodious number, Parineeti Chopra is all set to come up with her first single Mujhe Tum Nazar Se, as per reports. This Amaal Malik’s composition is the reprise version of Mehdi Hassan’s number by the same name, according to the same report. The Kesari actor surely knows how to explore the other sides of her talents.

3. Shraddha Kapoor

The multi-talented actor and a budding singer, Shraddha Kapoor made her singing debut with Teri Galliyan from Siddharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh starrer Ek Villain. The Chhichhore actor grabbed all the opportunities of singing all songs she was featured in Rock On!! 2. She also has sung tuneful Bezubaan Fir Se Unplugged and Do Jahaan, amongst other tracks.
