Lisa Ray reveals that her life so far has been a roller-coaster ride

Lisa Ray is an Indian-Canian model, actor and author. She is also a philanthropist and social activist. Lisa me her acting debut in Indian Film Industry with her role in Tamil film, Nethaji in year 1994. She also appeared in a few Bollywood films, such as 2001 Aftab Shivdasani-starrer Kasoor. In year 2005, she appeared in Canian film Water, which was directed by Deepa Mehta and also featured John Abraham. She is also author of memoir, Close To Bone, which talks about struggles of her life as she fought against cancer.

Lisa Ray revealed a few aspects of her life in memoir
Reportedly, in book, Lisa opened up about her cancer diagsis. She said that her doctor was scared because after he anunced news of her multiple myeloma she did t react. Her doctor later ded that cancer was incurable and fatal, but that also failed to elicit a reaction from Lisa. She said that while doctor was breaking news to her, she was thinking about how her body h been trying to give her signals for months but she h been avoiding signs. Lisa Ray stated that h an intuition that re was something wrong but she did t have cour to do anything about this because she h trained herself to igre what her body told her.

Lisa also revealed that how in her life, opportunities she has received have come along with some traumatic experience. Like in 1991, when she was a teenr, h her first major photo-shoot in Bombay, but her family was involved in an accident in Toronto, which left her mor in a paralyzed state. She also spoke about how she never really aspired to be a model or actor and just followed with what came her way. Her deep and inherent passion was to write, which she was gl to accomplish when her memoir got published.
