Boman Irani has been a part of several successful films in Bollywood. Today, he is counted amongst one of the finest actors that India has. Boman Irani is known to constantly push the barriers and do things that are out of his comfort zone. He is a man of many talents including a singer, photographer and a voice and theatre artist.
Where did it all start?
Boman started his Bollywood journey at the age of 42 when most would say that it is a receding time in an actor’s career. He started his career with a small role in Rahul Bose’s Everybody Says I’m Fine. But it was Ram Gopal Varma’s Darna Mana Hai which garnered him much acclaim.
It was Munna Bhai M.B.B.S when Boman Irani caught the attention of the public eye. His role in the comedy film earned him his first Filmfare nomination for the Best Actor in a Comic Role. He won the IIFA award for his performance. The film was a huge commercial hit. He then appeared in the sequel of the same Lage Raho Munna Bhai.
Boman Irani’s role in Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots won him accolades from all corners of the film industry. He was also awarded the Filmfare and IIFA Award for the Best Actor In A Negative Role. Since then he has appeared in several hit films like Housefull, Cocktail, Don: The Chase Begins Again, etc. He also made his Telugu debut with Attharintiki Daaredhi.
Boman Irani was an outsider to the film industry but he has now paved his way. He is the perfect example of age is just a number. This is one of the most versatile factors that set him apart from the rest.
Upcoming projects of Boman Irani
Boman Irani will once again reprise the role of Batuk Patel in the newest installment of the hit comedy film series, Housefull 4. He will be also be seen in Made In China alongside Rajkummar Rao, Amyra Dastur and Mouni Roy. Boman will be further seen in Jhalki with Divya Dutta and Sanjay Suri. He will also be seen in Tarun Mansukhani’s Drive with Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandes in prominent roles.
