Boman Irani is an Indian theatre and film actor. He is also a voice artist and a photographer of Irani descent. He made his film debut in the 2003 horror film Darna Mana Hai. He had his first commercial success with his 2003 comedy film Munna Bhai MBBS. The actor is popularly known for his comic roles in movies like Main Hoon Na, Housefull, and Happy New Year. In the movie, Boman Irani is portraying the role of Deputy Commissioner of Police, De Silva. In the climax of the film, Boman Irani's true identity is revealed and he is arrested in the end. Jolly LLB is a 2013 legal comedy film featuring Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, and Amrita Rao in the lead roles. The storyline of the film is inspired by the hit-and-run case of Sanjeev Nanda and a minor reference to the Priyadarshini Mattoo case. Boman Irani in the movie is seen playing the role of a criminal lawyer Tejinder Rajpal. In the film, Boman Irani is defending a boy from a high-class family who had been accused of drunken driving, which caused the death of six people sleeping on the footpath.
