BREAKING: Akshay Kumar Tests Positive For COVID-19, To Skip Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant's Wedding

Akshay Kumar's latest release Sarfira hit big screens on July 12. actor has been busy with promotions of film of late. However, Akshay has reportedly tested positive for Covid-19. Due to this, he will be missing out on wedding of Anant Ambani and Rhika Merchant on July 12 at Jio World Convention Center.

According to reports, Akshay was under wear for past few days and decided to get himself checked. He tested positive for coronavirus on Friday morning and has isolated himself.

Akshay was unwell for past few days

Akshay Kumar h been busy with promotions of his new film Sarfira. He travelled to various cities with his co-star Rhikka Man and ir respective team. Recently, a screening of film was also organised in Mumbai with producers Suriya and Jyothika also gracing event. According to reports, people from Sarfira promotions team tested Covid positive prompting Bollywood star to get himself checked as well. Turns out, he h contracted virus. 

Now, he is in complete isolation and will miss out on Anant and Rhika's wedding celebrations which will begin on July 12 and end on July 15 with a grand reception.   

Sarfira hits big screens on a positive note

Sarfira is Hindi remake of Suriya starrer Soorarai Pottru (2020). film is inspired by events from life of GR Gopinath, founder of Indian low-cost airline Simplifly Deccan, as described in his memoir Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey. Sudha Kongara has directed movie. She also helmed original Tamil title that premiered directly on OTT due to Covid restrictions.

According to Sacnilk, Sarfira is expected to score an opening of less than Rs 5 crore. However, its business may pick up if re is positive word of mouth.
