Cargo looks like one-of-a-kind film wherein the makers of the movie will be seen experimenting with a popular genre. This is the first time that a film on a spaceship will be made in India. The film features actors Vikrant Massey and Shweta Tripathi in pivotal roles. The movie is officially selected for screening at the MAMI- Mumbai film festival. Shweta Tripathi took to her Instagram to share a teaser of the movie.

In the teaser, it is revealed that Vikrant plays the character of Prahastha. Prahastha is a demon operating the 'Post Death Transition' service on a spaceship called Pushpak 634A, which is orbiting the earth. Shweta reportedly plays the role of his colleague who is an astronaut. Cargo is directed by Arati Kadav and produced by Shlok Sharma, Anurag Kashyap, Arati Kadav and Navin Shetty.
While speaking to a media house, Arati stated that the movie revolves around the story of a spaceship that comes close to earth each morning and waits for the deceased. The spaceship is also an immigration office for the dead. She also stated that each detail of the movie is thoroughly planned. She concluded by saying that the world is shown in zero gravity to make it look more realistic. Apart from directing and producing the movie, Kadav has also written the movie Cargo. Screening of this movie will reportedly be held during the MAMI film festival on October 18 and 19 this year.
