CONFIRMED: 'Tere Naam' to have a sequel; will Salman Khan be a part of it? Director Satish Kaushik answers

2003 Bollywood film ‘Tere Naam’ is all set to have its sequel me as actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik said on Tuesday he has locked script for much-anticipated movie.

Previously starring Salman Khan, Kaushik ded that he has t yet decided cast for film.

"We have script rey. Though I can't reveal much about film, I can say that it's a love story of a gangster. We haven't thought about cast yet as we have just locked script. We will get started with film once work on my next production 'Kaagaz' is over," Kaushik told media.

On being asked if he was willing to cast Khan for 2003 film’s sequel, he denied approaching 53-year-old star.

Touted as one of his most memorable performances, ‘Tere Naam’ gave Salman Khan’s career much-needed push following series of box-office debacles in early 2000s.

Khan's look h become a r among viewers and his portrayal of college rowdy Rhe Mohan was well received by audience. His typical center-parted hairstyle became a style statement.

movie h also starred Bhumika Chawla and Bhojpuri actor-politician Ravi Kishan along with several hit numbers like 'Lagan Lagi', 'Kyun Kisi Ko', 'Odhni', 'Tumse Milna' besides title song.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is all set to hit atres with his upcoming release 'Bharat' that is official remake of a hit Korean classic 'Ode to my Far'.

Set in backdrop of Indian Independence, 'Bharat' portrays journey of a man named 'Bharat', played by Khan, in parallel with journey of country towards independence. With a tagline that res: ' journey of a man and a country toger', film features actor in five different looks according to his and profession as it follows his life from 1964 to 2010.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, film also features Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and ra Fatehi in pivotal roles and is all set to hit atres on Eid in 2019.
