The time for secrecy is over. After Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone kept every detail about their wedding under wraps since they made an announcement about their marriage, before sharing the first pictures, the newlyweds made their first public appearance at the airport while returning to Mumbai on Sunday, 18 November. Ranveer and Deepika twinned in cream-colour traditional outfits with dark-coloured Nehru jacket and dupatta respectively, and the latter particularly looked the perfect new bride wearing the ‘sindhoor’, ‘bindi’ and ‘chooda’.

In the same way as ‘DeepVeer’ got mobbed at the airport on the way to their destination wedding in Italy, they faced the same situation while returning with numerous media persons and others trying to catch a glimpse of the newly married couple. What was, however, a treat to watch was how Ranveer got protective about his wife as the crowd increased. Apart from the bodyguards who tried to ensure that the actors exit safely, the ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ star also wrapped his arms around his ladylove to keep her safe.
In some of the other videos that have surfaced too, we see him constantly gesturing with his hands to those gathered to keep a safe distance as they make the way out of the airport.
