The Dabangg franchise is back with its third sequel, Dabangg 3. After Bharat’s huge collection at the box office, Salman Khan returned to the sets of Dabangg 3. He has reprised his role as small-town cop Chulbul Pandey. The shooting is reportedly expected to wrap up in September. Salman had produced the 2010 hit Dabangg and later with the 2012 release Dabangg 2, Arbaaz entered the directorial role. Dabangg 3 is said to be a prequel to the previous two movies.

The film is being shot in multiple locations including Maheshwar, Pune, Rajasthan and Mumbai. In a recent photograph of Salman Khan released on the web, he is seen riding an ATV motorcycle. He can be seen in his Chulbul Pandey get-up, complete with the iconic shades. At present, Salman Khan is gearing up for shooting the climax of the movie which will also include a shirtless fighting sequence between him and Sudeep. According to reports, the actor has been preparing for this scene for almost six months now since it involves a lot of hand-to-hand combat.

Dabangg 3’s cast includes Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Arbaaz Khan. The Kannada star Sudeep is a new addition to the Dabangg franchise. The movie is being directed by Prabhu Deva with Dilip Shukla as the writer. The movie will hit the screens on December 20 this year. The film will be releasing in four languages: Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Tamil. The audience expectations from the movie are high after the huge success of Dabangg and Dabangg 2. In an interview, Arbaaz Khan said that the audience's high expectations for the film only reiterates the popularity of the franchise and the character Chulbul Pandey.

Salman Khan's upcoming films

After Dabangg 3, Salman Khan will begin shooting for the sequel of Kick. He is also set to star in the third sequel to the Tiger franchise. But these movies are still in pre-production.  No Entry Mein Entry will also star the Dabangg actor.
