The much in love couple got married in an elaborate ceremony in Italy, followed by grand receptions held in Bengaluru and Mumbai respectively. Post that, while Ranveer enthralled audiences with two back-to-back blockbusters, 'Simmba' and 'Gully Boy', Deepika has been low-key with her film releases.

Deepika has managed to balance her superstar status and her normal daily life with the ease of a pro. She spoke about the changes she has experienced post marriage in an interview. “I’m a lot more grounded now. I feel secure. I feel protected. When you’re in a relationship, there’s still a lot of nerves, you’re still unsure, no matter how long you’ve been dating. I guess, the term boyfriend and girlfriend sound frivolous. Somewhere, it doesn’t carry that weight as marriage does. Today when we look at each other, there’s a sense of responsibility," said Deepika.
The Couple Were In A Relationship For The Last Six Years
Besides 'Chhapaak,' Deepika will also appear in another film. She will co-star with her husband, Ranveer Singh, in the film '83,' directed by Kabir Khan. The film is based on the Indian cricket team's triumphant victory at the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Ranveer is essaying the role of veteran cricketer Kapil Dev, while Deepika will play his wife, Romi Dev. The film releases on 10th April 2020, and fans are excited to watch the newlywed couple in their first film post their wedding.
