Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh leave boxer Amir Khan impressed
British boxer Amir Khan met Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh in London. He called the duo the ‘power couple of India’, termed it a ‘lovely’ interaction.

The fact that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are loved across India was evident with the buzz around their wedding last year, but this love is not restricted to only the country. The best example of this was when British boxer Amir Khan recently met the couple in London. Apart from posing with them, even called the duo the ‘power couple of India.’ Khan on Monday shared photographs on Instagram with ‘Deepveer’.

Bonding of stars
In the first one, he is dressed in a jacket and track pants, while Deepika has worn a denim jacket and loose-fitting trousers. They seemed to have met at a shopping mall, with the clothes visible in the background. In the second one, the boxer is wrapped around Ranveer’s arms, who is delighted. In his trademark style, they posed for a selfie. Amir Khan said that it was ‘lovely meeting’ the ‘power couple of India’ as they enjoyed in London.

Khan’s recent Indian association with India was after the cricket team had beaten arch-rivals in the World Cup. He had stated that he was willing to help the Pak team stay fit. He had then tweeted, “Would love to help Pakistan cricket team with some advise on how to stay fit and strong. How to be disciplined on food, diet and training. The team has talent but need to improve on Strength & conditioning and focus.”

The Pakistan-origin boxer had also quipped that he’d avenge Pakistan’s cricket loss by saying he’d knock out Neeraj Goyat in their fight. He had tweeted, “Pakistan lost to India today #ICCWorldCup2019 come July 12th I will avenge the loss and knock out Neeraj Goyat on our upcoming fight in #SaudiArabia.” Neeraj Goyat had also hilariously responded, ‘keep dreaming.’

‘DeepVeer’ in London
Meanwhile, Ranveer is currently shooting for the movie ‘83’, where he is playing the role of then Indian Cricket Captain Kapil Dev, who lifted the first World Cup for India. Deepika is playing the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev. It is the first time the duo is sharing screen space after ‘Bajirao Mastani’, since in ‘Padmaavat’, they didn’t have any scenes together.‘83’ is gearing up for release on April 10, 2020.
