On November 1, a day after Diwali , Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh shared the first glimpse of their baby girl. While they did not reveal the face of their daughter, they shared her name - Dua Padukone Singh. Explaining the meaning in the caption, the actors wrote, "Dua Padukone Singh | दुआ पादुकोण सिंह 🧿 Dua : meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers."

Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram account to share the first glimpse of her baby daughter. The new mother shared a photo of her infant baby girl dressed in a traditional Indian outfit and seated on her lap. The actress did not reveal the face of her daughter yet. Celebrities such as Upasana Konidela, Gauahar Khan, Alia Bhatt , Maheep Kapoor, and many others took to the comment section to send their best wishes to the new parents.

Deepika Padukone was admitted to the H.N. Reliance Hospital in Mumbai, on the first day of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration - September 7. The actress gave birth on September 8. The couple announced the arrival of their daughter in a joint Instagram post that read, “Welcome Baby Girl 08/09/2024." They shared the post without a caption.
