Deepika Padukone shares makeup, hair and skincare tips with fans

Deepika Padukone revealed her hair, makeup, and skincare secrets in a recent video interview with an American fashion magazine. The video also featured Deepika Padukone's makeup artist and her hairstylist. The video is a comprehensive collection of the growth that Deepika has seen in her makeup and skincare habits.

Deepika starts the video by sharing the fact that she has been through various phases when it comes to her choice of makeup and looks. She talks about how she has slowly embraced ideas that she didn't approve of before. She gave the example of the sleek hairstyle with a centre partition that slowly grew on her as a favourite. She also talked about how she learnt to like applying a little mascara under her eye to give more definition.

She quipped that she has certain outfits in her mind that she would look at and wonder what made her choose that. She also shared that she has always stayed away from learning how to do her makeup and hair as she would prefer to leave it to the professionals. Sandhya Shekhar, Deepika's makeup artist, also shared her experience with Deepika. She has been a part of Deepika's team from more than 2 and a half years. She talked about how she was asked to do Deepika's makeup for a small event and that is how her journey with Padukone began. Deepika shared that she dislikes cakey makeup and always prefers to have a natural look. She also talked about she is not afraid to show any discolouration on her face. Sandhya shared that Deepika's signature look is a no-makeup look. She said that warm colours are Deepika's favourite, be the base or the blush. She also shared that Deepika is well-equipped in doing her eyebrows. Deepika then talked about her classic long eyeliner look in her debut movie Om Shanti Om.

Gabriel Georgiou has been Deepika's hairstylist for ten years. Gabriel talked about how they try to blend fashion with creativity to create the best looks for Padukone. They also make sure that they look beautiful. Her Cannes look of a light green gown along with the cream headband was a favourite of both Sandhya and himself. 

At the end of the video, Sandhya and Gabriel talked about Deepika's wedding outfits. Gabriel shared about how careful he was about her hair as they had to make sure that it didn't fall out. Sandhya added how her makeup was in accordance with the colour tones of the Sabyasachi dresses that Deepika wore.

Deepika ended the video by sharing that she felt a little more confident about her looks after 2012. This was because of the movie Cocktail. Along with the efforts of Gabriel and Sandhya, Deepika's confidence and beauty make what she is today.
