Deepika reacts to pregnancy rumours, says not yet ready for kids

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding will soon complete a year on November 14th. Soon after a few months of their wedding, there were rumours about Deepika being pregnant. The actor is aware of the pregnancy rumours doing the rounds, and she said they are not ready to have a baby yet. While their fans will love to see mini DeepVeers taking timelines, the couple is not ready for kids.

Not even thinking about having kids says Deepika Padukone

Speaking to a leading media publication, Piku actor Deepika revealed they are not ready for the kids yet. They love kids but right now they are focusing on their career growth. Hence, she believes that having a kid now will be unfair to both of them. The Padmaavat star termed these rumours as ‘sad’ because of the expectation that society has, but said that she was not surprised with them.

The duo will be seen together for the first time in the film ’83. The film is based on India’s historic World Cup win in the year 1983. Ranveer will play the role of a legendary all-rounder, Kapil Dev, while Deepika will play the role of his wife, Romi Dev. The film also features Boman Irani and Pankaj Tripathi in supporting roles. Kabir Khan’s directorial ’83 has completed the shoot and the actors recently had a wrap-up party for the cast and crew.

Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, Deepika Padukone’s upcoming movie is Chaapaak, which is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. In an interview with a news portal, Deepika said that the film has been her toughest project till now. At the same time, the Bajirao Mastani star revealed details about her next flick and said that she will start shooting for a dark film early next year. The actor was last seen with hubby Ranveer Singh in Padmaavat, which also starred Shahid Kapoor and Aditi Rao Hydari. On the other hand, Ranveer Singh is all set for Takht after ’83. Takht is a multi-starrer film directed by Karan Johar, and is expected to release on December 25, 2020.
