Ayan Mukerji To Direct Dhoom 4?: The director is busy with making the Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR starrer War 2. A sequel to the 2019 action movie is expected to hit the big screens in 2025. As per new reports, Aditya Chopra, the YRF producer, is happy with the output of War 2 as of now and is willing to get the Brahmastra director on board the next project- Dhoom 4 as well.

Dhoom 4 is one of the most anticipated movies. A possible fourth part of the heist franchise has generated buzz among fans. Amid this, an insider close to the film's development has shared key details about its production.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Aditya Chopra is very happy with the footage shot for War 2 and has verbally discussed his intent of making Dhoom 4 with Ayan Mukerji. The director is also charged up with the idea, but has his baby, Brahmastra also lined up. He has requested for some time from Aditya Chopra, as he wishes to focus on War 2 at the moment, and then discuss the future of Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Jio Studios, before committing to Dhoom 4.” The insider in the know further shared, “Aditya Chopra knows the power of Dhoom franchise and has kept it closest to his heart. While he is developing a series of spy films, he knows the value of Dhoom franchise and wants to bring it at the right time with the right cast and right director. His mind is all focused to create Dhoom 4 with best talents of India."

Amid Dhoom 4 cast speculations, an old video of Abhishek Bachchan claiming it is his film goes viral

For a few days now, several reports have claimed that not Abhishek Bachchan but some other actor will headline Dhoom 4. While the makers did not announce anything officially, an old video of the actor claiming that the film belongs to him and Uday Chopra has gone viral. In the old interview, he shared, “Pardon the immodesty, but Uday Chopra and I are Dhoom. The franchise chronicles the ongoing adventures of Jai and Ali, that’s me and Uday. That’s the format of the franchise. The other characters may come and go. But we go on forever. Like Batman and Robin. Can there be a ‘Batman’ franchise without Batman?”

The actor shared, “From Dhoom to Dhoom 2 and Dhoom 3, it has been an amazing journey. To begin with, it was the story of the adventures of these three boys, me, Uday, and John Abraham. Our producer Aditya Chopra suggested we try to re-define the action genre in our cinema. We were all young, hopeful and enthusiastic, eager to try out this experiment. How were we to know it would turn out the way it did." Makers are yet to respond to any claims about Dhoom 4.
