Punjabi Bollywood singer Diljit Dosanjh has been asked by Federation of Western Cine Employees (FWICE) to cancel his show at United States on September 21 keeping in mind 'sentiments and dignity of nation', as event is being promoted by Rehan Siddiqi, who is of Pakistani origin.

For uninitiated, a few weeks back, Salman Khan had reportedly called off a Houston concert project alongside Mika Singh as singer had faced flak for performing in Pakistan and also because event was promoted by same, Rehan Siddiqi.
FWICE's letter to Diljit Dosanjh:
In a letter dated 6th September and addressed to Diljit Dosanjh, FWICE have clearly stated that through document y want to draw attention to 'unbridled race of Artists/Singers/Dancers and Performers' as y have been informed about invitation of Rehan Siddiqi to him (Dosanjh) for a st performance as a singer in America

"You are a thorough gentleman and a superb artist which is pride of India. It is, refore, a humble request top you to cancel your performance for 21st Sept 2019 in America as it will be befitting in current time", letter furr stated. Read it below-

FWICE n also issued a press release stating that y are deeply concerned and anguished by various artists as y are 'kwingly' performing in India despite film bodies strict warnings. "We have also come to kw from our reliable sources that actor Saif Ali Khan and singer Shreya Ghoshal, in particular, are giving [performances in America at behest of Mr. Rehan Siddiqi, a Pakistani national.

Midway last month, news surfaced that Mika Singh had performed in Karachi with his troupe to perform at wedding ceremony of influential billionaire's daughter who is said to be close to Musharraf. singer reportedly performed on August 8 at ceremony and his presence in city came to light when some guests uploaded videos of his performance on social media.This did t sit well with netizens and fans who revolted over idea and called him a 'traitor' on social media.
After social media uproar, FWICE and AICWA banned artist. former even went ahead to say that any artist who works with Mika Singh will be banned henceforth. This was said in reference to six-day gig that Mika Singh was all set to embark on along with Salman Khan. He was all set to join group from Houston leg of tour.

However, after a press conference, Mika Singh publicly apologised to nation for performing in Pakistan after which ban was revoked by film bodies
