Anushka Sharma's hard-hitting open letter to all her critics has triggered a frenzy online. Clearing the air of all allegations
Anushka Sharma's clarification on the matter was in response to allegations made by veteran Indian wicket-keeper Farokh Engineer where he lashed out at the selection committee by bringing up Anushka Sharma's name. He alleged that the selection committee was seen serving cups of tea to Anushka Sharma. Anushka responded by saying that comments on the selection committee and their qualifications can be made by anyone as long as her name is not dragged in to substantiate or sensationalize anyone's opinion.

Anushka Sharma replied to Farokh Engineer's comment by adding that when she attended the one World cup match, she was seated in the family box and not the selector's box which make the veteran cricketer's allegations baseless and ill-advised. Her statement posted online was not just a response to this particular instance, but several others that Anushka Sharma had to face because of her relationship with her erstwhile boyfriend, and now husband, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli, including the controversial 2018 incident where she was a part of the Team India photoshoot at the India High Commission in London.
