Don 3: Ranveer Singh recreates Amitabh Bachchan's iconic dialogue, film to release in 2025

Don 3 was officially announced on Tuesday by director Farhan Akhtar. While reports of Ranveer Singh stepping into the role of the popular anti-hero had been doing the rounds for quite some time, the same has now been confirmed. A new promo has teased the actor's look in the film. In the short clip, he mutters heavy-duty dialogues and shows off his distinct style.

Ranveer Singh is the new Don

In a promo video, Ranveer Singh is all suited up and looks sharp as Don. His dialogues are the highlight of the announcement video. 

He also recreates the iconic Amitabh Bachchan dialogue "11 mulkhon ki police...". Fans expressed excitement over the Don 3 announcement video and all eyes will be on new updates from the makers, especially regarding the leading lady.

Don 3 to mark the beginning of a new era

On August 8, after the first announcement of Don 3, Farhan Akhtar took to Instagram and spoke about the "dawn of a new era". He referred to the inception of the character from Salim-Javed and how it was embodied by Amitabh Bachchan in 1978. He then spoke about the rebooted iterations of the character in his directorials Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011). 

While speaking about the latest version of Don, he said, “The time has now come to take the legacy of Don forward and joining us in this new interpretation will be an actor whose talent and versatility I have long admired.”

Meanwhile, there are rumours that Ranveer Singh will be seen sharing the screen in Don 3 with Kiara Advani, who recently delivered a hit with Satyaprem Ki Katha. While there is no concrete release date for Don 3, it is eyeing thetricl debut in 2025.
