Dwayne Johnson has been a target of many rumours spread by the internet trolls. Recently, he was targeted again as a hoax of his death spread across Twitter.

Panic ensued on Twitter on November 14 when a rumour spread across the social media portal that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has passed away. This death hoax went utterly viral on Twitter as the fans were shocked and grieved by the news. The news went viral due to a report by a leading online news portal.

The article shows a monochrome picture of Dwayne smiling at the camera with the words R. I. P. Dwayne Johnson, 1972-2019 written on it. The headline of the report said 'Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Dies at 47 After a Terrible Stunt Attempt Failed.'
While Dwayne himself hasn't yet responded to the rumours, editor David Emery cleared out these death rumours. He addressed the Twitterati and said that Dwayne isn't dead. He also informed that it is an old, recurring internet hoax.
According to a report in a leading daily, this isn't the first time that the actor has faced death rumours. Two times before, in 2011 and 2014, Johnson was declared dead by many trolls online. In 2011, Dwayne had addressed these rumours on his Facebook page.
Dwayne Johnson is busy with the promotions of his movie Jumanji: The Next Level. He recently posted a picture of himself with Danny DeVito on his Instagram. In the caption, he called himself and Danny 'two twinning smoldering panthers'.
