Sridevi's English Vinglish director Gauri Shinde recounts her special bond with the actor

Legendary actress Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor launched a book on his wife at a Delhi event along with Deepika and Gauri Shinde. Read on for more details.

Sridevi was one of most sought after Bollywood actress back in 80s and 90s and was regarded as first female superstar of Indian cinema. Her last two films Mom and English Vinglish was a major hit both commercially and was also critically acclaimed. late actress passed away tragically on February 24, 2018, in Dubai. Recently on December 1, 2019, Boney Kapoor launched a book by Satyarth Nayak on his late wife titled Sridevi: Eternal Screen Goddess at a Lit fest held in New Delhi. Bollywood megastar Deepika Pukone and  English Vinglish director Gauri Shinde were also present at event sharing moments of ir experiences with late superstar. Gauri Shinde on Sridevi

At literature festival in Delhi, Gauri Shinde spoke about time she was working with late actor for English Vinglish. She said that two of m got along with each or very well. y connected on psyche level and that is why both were able to communicate smoothly with respect to direction and portrayal in movie. Gauri mentioned that Sridevi h a great sense of humour which was portrayed on reel as well. Gauri Shinde also expressed her interest to work with Sridevi in future but unfortunately, it could t happen. She ded that y both shared instant chemistry which is very rare to find in people as it was so special to her. book was launched by Boney Kapoor at Delhi event and also has a foreword written by actor Kajol.

posthumous awards for legendary actor Sridevi

veteran actor Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018, in an unfortunate incident at a Dubai hotel causing a deep loss for her family and Indian cinema. In loving memory of  Sma actor, her wax statue was unveiled at Mame Tussauds in Singapore on occasion of her birthday this year. Recently she was also houred posthumously with an ANR Award along with veteran actor Rekha for ir contribution to Indian film industry. Filmmaker Boney Kapoor received ANR award on behalf of his late wife.
