Esha Deol Recalls Being Eve-teased At Dus Premiere: Pulled Him Out From The Crowd And...

Esha Deol, daughter of legendary actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini , made her debut in 2002 with the romantic thriller Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe. After starring alongside several big stars, the actress took a break in 2015 and made a comeback in 2022 with Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, marking her OTT debut. Since then, the actress has been quite vocal about her professional and personal life. In a recent interview, the actress recalled a disturbing experience when she was eve-teased during the premiere of her 2005 movie Dus.

In an interview with Hauterrfly, Esha shared a harrowing experience of eve-teasing during the premiere of Dus in Pune, which was also attended by Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Suniel Shetty and Zayed Khan. "So the premiere was there and we were going through the crowd. All the artists were entering one by one when I entered and there were many big and strong bouncers around me too. Despite that, a man from the crowd touched me inappropriately."

The actress instantly held the man’s hand, took him out of the crowd and slapped him. Esha added that she is not a hit-tempered person but if people cross the boundaries, she can't help it. She urged that a woman should definitely react in such a situation and believes that women are emotionally stronger.

What do we know about Dus?

Helmed by Anubhav Sinha,  the movie is based on the lives of seven fictional  SIT (Indian Special Investigation) Team officers. The movie also starred Shilpa Shetty, Raima Sen and Dia Mirza in the key roles. According to Box Office India, the movie had an excellent opening and went on to gross ₹388.4 million at the box office, becoming the 10th highest-grossing movie of 2005.
