Nargis Fakhri has called ‘extremely disheartening and unacceptable’ questions raised by the makers of her upcoming movie ‘Amavas’ over her professional commitment. The actress refuted claims from the production house that she left the promotions midway allegedly over questions on her love life about Uday Chopra and Matt Alonzo.

According to sources close to the production house of the horror thriller quoted in reports, the ‘Dhating Naach’ star was supposed to be a part of various promotional events starting from the trailer launch on January 5 for which she landed in India.  After the launch, she was expected to honour commitments related to the film for the next 10 days.

However, the ‘Main Tera Hero’ star left the country on January 11 itself leaving producers ‘in the lurch’, sources claimed. Reports claimed Nargis’ decision was sparked by irritation on questions by media persons over rumoured ‘break-up’ with alleged ex-boyfriends Uday Chopra and Matt Alonzo and the possibility of a patch-up with the former. The actress apparently shot back at a reporter over the same.

The ‘Rockstar’ star also allegedly did a ‘no-show’ for the shoot of a reality show, leaving the producers ‘shocked’.The movie’s release also got postponed due to the same as the movie, which was to earlier hit the screens on January 18, not once but twice, earlier February 1 and now finally February 8.

The spokesperson of the production house confirmed that the actress didn’t inform them about her departure from the country, and they were finding it hard to contact her regarding her availability to resume promotions and there was no clarity on it.

Nargis has now denied the allegations in a statement. The actress called it ‘extremely taxing’ the process of promoting the movie due to ‘total lack of communication and planning’.

"The entire experience of promoting this film, albeit brief, has been extremely taxing because of their total lack of communication and planning."

She wondered about the debate over her early departure from the country as her team allotted the film’s team seven days which were used by them.

"They were given seven days for promotions by my team well in time which they used."

The 39-year-old claimed she wasn’t informed about the postponement or the promotional activities.

"To be honest, I wasn't informed about the film's release being pushed nor was I updated on their promotional plans and activities."

Nargis called the questions over her professional commitment ‘extremely disheartening and unacceptable’ as she blamed the film’s team for the controversy.

"And now, seeing them release statements like that about my professional commitment is something that is extremely disheartening and unacceptable when it's the film team who haven't held up their end of the bargain."

‘Amavas’ directed by ‘Ragini MMS 2’ director Bhushan Patel also stars Sachiin Joshi.
