Luck by Chance was Zoya Akhtar's directorial debut film and it featured Farhan Akhtar in the lead role. The movie was a drama released on January 30, 2009. Farhan also contributed as a producer for it alongside Ritesh Sidhwani. Luck by Chance is a film about struggling actors who are trying to get a break into the industry. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Dil Dhadakne Do
Another emotional movie directed by Zoya Akhtar, Dil Dhadakne Do featured Farhan Akhtar in an important supporting role. The movie was released on June 5, 2015, and starred Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh in the leading roles. The movie is about a rich family that is almost bankrupt. The father and mother of the house orchestrate a cruise for their 30th anniversary.
