According to a news portal, set for Gangubai Kathiawadi had been demolished after instructions provided by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. After a month w, set of Dongri to Dubai too may face similar consequences. sets of both films lie vacant due to lockdown and hence makers of Dongri to Dubai have considered demolition of set.

makers of Dongri to Dubai had created an elaborate set at Madh Island, which represented certain parts of Dongri. set is w lying unused for over two months and since lockdown has been extended, makers are considering demolishing set entirely. In an interview with a news portal, director of Farhan Akhtar’s Dongri to Dubai spoke about this situation. Shujaat Saudagar, director, mentioned that lockdown extension and upcoming monsoon pose as a problem for set, according to a news portal.

He furr added that set cant stand for too long once monsoon begins. Furr on, director mentioned that currently y are handling permissions from authorities and may possibly tear down set soon. However, director assured that set will be rebuilt once things get back to rmal and possibly after monsoons. director also addressed fact that it is a tough decision, despite it being a practical one. He furr added that this a call to be taken by producers and y will eventually decide what happens with set, according to a news portal.

director continued by saying that y have spent a lot of effort and time in creating Dongri from ’80s and ’90s. According to director, makers did t want to let go off aestics of that time period and hence everything built on set was made to suit that time period. He furr added that it is a huge set and creating it again will be a challenging experience. He assured, however, that y will try to salv it as much as possible. In conclusion, director added that ar set was built in Vile Parle as well, where makers have finished a major portion of shooting and are t worried about that set. However, it was Madh Island set that had been untouched due to lockdown hence it feels difficult to let that set be, according to a news portal.
