Farhan Akhtar is known for his versatility in the industry. Farhan is not just a director, but he is also adept in dialogue writing, scriptwriting, singing, music composing, writing lyrics and showcasing his acting chops. He made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed film Dil Chahta Hai in 2001. Since then Farhan Akhtar has directed several other projects and has also showcased his acting abilities. 1. Imran - Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara
Dilon mein tum apni
Betabiyan leke chal rahe ho

This little poem that Imran recites in his mind comes at a crucial point of time in the film. Farhan Akhtar made the character of Imran memorable by portraying these little quirks and qualities about his character. Imran is an advertising copywriter but also deals with his own set of obstacles and unresolved issues.
2. Sunny Gill- Dil Dhadakne Do
Manav: Humara ghar mein aaj tak kisi aurat ne kaam nahi kiya. Phir bhi main Aisha ko business karneki permission di.
Sunny: Aur usse tumhari permission ki jaroorat kyu?
Farhan Akhtar’s character Sunny turned the tables against patriarchy by raising this small question against Manav, Priyanka Chopra’s husband in the film. Sunny’s presence is prominent in every frame of this film even though he is not the protagonist.
3. Vikram Jaisingh – Luck by Chance
Apne raaste par chalte raho, chalte raho. Dheere dheere saari duniya tumhare raaste par aa jayegi.
Farhan Akhtar played the role of a struggling actor in the film. This dialogue by Vikram shows his rise as an actor in the industry and bagging his debutant role in a film as a lead. The film garnered appreciation from the critics and the audience especially struggling artists who are trying to make a mark in the industry as an actor.
4. Sid – Shaadi ke Side Effects
Jab main galti karta hoon toh main sorry kehta hu. Aur jab meri wife galti karti hai toh main sorry kehta hu.
