Ford v Ferrari is the biographical sports drama that has taken the world for a great ride, pun intended. The film is directed by James Mangold. Matt Damon as the late American automotive legend, Carroll Shelby, and Christian Bale as the late British driver Ken Miles star alongside a group of eccentric, determined team of American engineers and designers who are dispatched by Ford Motor Company's Henry Ford II and Lee Iacocca, to defeat Ferrari with their very own Ford GT 40 at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France.

1. Ford GT 40
The Ford GT 40 is a high-performance endurance race car which was built 1964 to 1969. The car was born after Henry Ford II's failed attempts to purchase the Italian sports car marque, Ferrari. He desired to defeat the perennially dominant Ferrari at the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Ford GT 40. Ford co-developed the car with Shelby American, who is also well-known for their work on the high-performance variants of one of the most iconic vehicles in automotive history, the Ford Mustang. The GT 40 became the first American car to win the famed race, with four consecutive victories over from 1966 to 1969.

2. Ferrari 330 P3
The Ferrari P was a series of Italian sports prototype racing cars produced by the company between the 1960s and early 1970s. The 1966 Le Mans witnessed the intense competition between the Ford GT 40 and the Ferrari 330 P3. The Ferrari 330 P3 is noted for introducing fuel injection to the Ferrari brand.

3. Porsche 906 Carrera
The Porsche 906 Carrera, or the Carrera 6, is a street-legal race car from the celebrated German sports car marque. Around 50 examples were produced in 1966, solely for homologation requirements of the FIA's new Group 4 Sports Car category. The Porsche 906 Carrera came fourth in the 1966 Le Mans after the top three podium finishes were accomplished by the Ford GT 40.
