FWICE sends notice to Anup Jalota, Talat Aziz to cancel London shows

The Federation of Western Cine Employees (FWICE) in a letter addressed to ex 'Bigg Boss' contestant Anup Jalota requested him to cancel his live concert

The Federation of Western Cine Employees (FWICE) in a letter addressed to ex 'Bigg Boss' contestant Anup Jalota requested him to cancel his live concert with Niramala Naghani which was scheduled to take place in London on October 26th. The notice further entailed a warning that state that if Jalota went ahead with a live concert, then no Indian artist from across the world would work with him again.

Similarly, another letter was addressed singer Talat Aziz for collaborating with Pak artist Tari Khan for a live concert in London on October 12th and 13th respectively. Read the full letters below- 

For the uninitiated, it all started when Mika Singh jetted off to Pakistan to perform at a wedding there. After which, FWICE had demanded that the singer apologise in front of the nation, otherwise he would be banned. After which, Diljit Dosanjh, Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu, and Udit Narayan were also sent a letter to cancel their respective shows abroad as it was being organised by a Pakistani national.

Diljit Dosanjh's controversy: 

Bollywood singer Diljit Dosanjh has been asked by the Federation of Western Cine Employees (FWICE) to cancel his show at the United States on September 21 keeping in mind the 'sentiments and the dignity of the nation', as the event is being promoted by Rehan Siddiqi, who is of Pakistani origin.

In a letter dated 6th September and addressed to Diljit Dosanjh, the FWICE have clearly stated that through the document they want to draw attention to the 'unbridled race of Artists/Singers/Dancers and Performers' as they have been informed about the invitation of Rehan Siddiqi to him (Dosanjh) for a stage performance as a singer in America

Prior controversy: 

Midway last month, news surfaced that Mika Singh had performed in Karachi with his troupe to perform at the wedding ceremony of the influential billionaire's daughter who is said to be close to Musharraf. The singer reportedly performed on August 8 at the ceremony and his presence in the city came to light when some guests uploaded videos of his performance on social media.This did not sit well with netizens and fans who revolted over the idea and called him a 'traitor' on social media.

After the social media uproar, FWICE and AICWA banned the artist. The former even went ahead to say that any artist who works with Mika Singh will be banned henceforth. This was said in reference to the six-day gig that Mika Singh was all set to embark on along with Salman Khan. He was all set to join the group from the Houston leg of the tour.
