Gadar 2 Box Office Day 8: Sunny Deol film beats Baahubali 2 record to enter Rs 300 Cr club

Gadar 2 enjoyed a successful first-week run at the box office, raking in Rs 284.63 crore. On Friday, the film's collection propelled the Sunny Deol starrer into the league of Rs 300 crore grosser, which makes it the third Bollywood film this year after Pathaan and Adipurush to achieve this feat.

Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 breaches Rs 300 crore mark 

With its close to Rs 20 crore earning on its second Friday, Gadar 2 has entered the Rs 300 crore club. As per early estimates, the movie's collection in 8 days stands at over Rs 304 crore. Even though the earnings have dipped in the last two days, Saturday and Sunday are expected to be huge for the film.

After entering the Rs 200 crore club in five days, making it the second-fastest film after Pathaan to do so, Gadar 2 has also breached the Rs 300 crore mark in record time. It entered the Rs 300 crore club in just 8 days, leaving the likes of Baahbali 2- Hindi version (10 days), KGF: Chapter 2 (11 days) and Dangal (13 days behind).

Film's business declines, but expected to pick up  

As per a report in Box Office India, Gadar 2 business declined after a historic five-day run which wound up with Rs 55 crore earnings on Tuesday, August 15. The Mumbai circuit saw a dip in collection but the single-screen business in East Punjab and Rajasthan has remained unaffected according to BOI.

The report also suggested that Gadar 2 could make the record for the highest earnings for a film on its second Friday. If it misses the mark, it will be by a small margin. Moreover, it is expected to record the highest second Saturday and Sunday of all time.
