Gadar 2, Jailer, OMG 2, and Bhola Shankar collectively earn over Rs 390 cr in India
Rajinikanth's Jailer, Sunny Deol's Gadar 2, Akshay Kumar's OMG 2 and Chiranjeevi's Bhola Shankar have collectively made history at the Indian box office.

The box office is currently seeing massive competition between several Indian titles. While Gadar 2 and OMG 2 clashed at the box office on August 11, Rajinikanth’s Jailer was released on August 10. Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar was also released on Friday, and these four films have driven countless people to theatres until now.

- OMG 2 is also a nostalgia-inspired release, with the first part released in 2011.

Jailer, Gadar 2, OMG 2 and Bhola Shankar’s massive box office strides
The first weekend has passed for all the latest films. Gadar 2 is a massive box-office success, and as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has made Rs 134.88 crore in India so far. This comes after the Sunny Deol film's massive three-day collections, with its haul being Rs 40.10 crore on Friday, Rs 43.08 on Saturday and Rs 51.70 crore on Sunday.

OMG 2, which was initially expected to be a lacklustre release, had an excellent opening weekend with Rs 43.11 crore in total. As per the makers, the film started off with a Rs 10.26 crore opening on Friday. On Saturday, the film jumped to Rs 15.30 crore and peaked on Sunday at Rs 17.55 crore.
Jailer is turning out to be this year’s most globally successful Indian release. While it has minted Rs 150+ crore in India so far, it globally stands with a collection of Rs 302 crore as per Manobala Vijayabalan. Bhola Shankar is perhaps the least stimulating of these releases, with only Rs 26.4 crore being minted so far, as per Sacnilk.

This weekend was historic for the box office
As per statements released by the Multiplex Association of India (MAI) and Producers Guild of India (GUILD), the weekend from the 11th to the 13th marked the biggest three-day gross in the history of Indian cinema.

The four films grossed Rs 390+ crore and brought more than 2.10 crore people to the cinemas over the course of their three-day weekend, and notably will score more over the extended Independence Day weekend.
