Gadar 2 stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel meet jawans at Wagah-Attari border

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 is all set to hit the big screens on August 11. The sequel which is returning to the big screens 20 years after the first part, has huge anticipation riding on it. Lead stars are promoting the film and recently snapped at the Wagah-Attari border near Lahore.

Sunny-Ameesha dance at Wagah Border

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are on an India-wide tour for the promotions of Gadar 2. After Golden Temple visit in Amritsar, Sunny was snapped interacting with jawans and fans at the Wagah-Attari border. The two actors were dressed as their characters in the film. Sunny sported an olive pagadi and Ameesha wore a sky blue, embroidered sharara.

In one of the videos, the lead stars were seen dancing with the crowd. Udit Narayan, who was with the lead stars sang songs from the film. Sunny and Ammesha even danced to Udja Kale Kawan. They witnessed the Wagah-Attari border ceremony. Gadar 2 is set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pak War of 1971.

Sunny Deol on India-Pak tensions

At the trailer launch event of the Sunny Deol starrer, the actor conveyed a powerful message about humanity prevailing over hatred as he spoke in the context of Indo-Pak relations. He stressed that conflicts between the two nations should not overshadow the peace and unity that binds them. He said that Gadar 2 echoes this theme, highlighting how the political blame game creates animosity between the two countries. He added that his character Tara Singh embodies the idea of peace and coexistence.  

Gadar 2 will release in cinema halls on August 11 alongside OMG 2, starring Akshay Kumar.
