Gadar 2: Sunny Deol fan dresses up as Tara Singh, offers garland on movie poster

Gadar 2 has released worldwide, alongside Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2. In terms of advanced bookings, the Sunny Deol starrer has consistently stayed ahead and trade analysts too pegged it to have an opener of around Rs 30-35 crore. Numbers apart, the fan frenzy around Gadar 2 is also interesting.

Sunny Deol fan offers massive garland to Gadar 2 poster

In the now-viral images, a fan was recently seen dressed as Sunny Deol’s Tara Singh in Bandra West, Mumbai. He was photographed by the shutterbugs as he stood on the side rail beside a banner of Gadar 2 in Gaiety cinema hall and positioned the marigold garland over the poster. The act only goes to show the extreme degree of hype and excitement there is for Gadar 2.

Is Gadar 2 going to be a bigger entry than OMG 2?

While speaking about Gadar 2’s opening day collections, trade analyst Sumit Kadel told Republic Digital that it will mint Rs 30-35 crore. In comparison, he said that OMG 2 will end up with a mere Rs 7-9 crore. Kadel said, “Depending on how many shows it gets, it may get affected. But Rs 30-35 crore opening is assured. OMG 2 may collect in the range of Rs 7-9 crore.”

Ramesh Bala, on the other hand, said the Sunny Deol starrer has the potential to reach Rs 25 crore on its opening day. On the other hand, he anticipated an opening range of Rs 7-9 crore for OMG 2.  He told Republic Digital, “For the opening of Gadar 2, I think it would open with 25 crores. OMG 2 would be between 7 to 9 crores.”
