Gadar 2 vs OMG 2 Box Office: Sunny Deol's film roars, Akshay Kumar starrer shows grow

Gadar 2 and OMG 2 were released in theatres simultaneously on August 11. Both movies have been doing great business and boosting the box office business during the Independence Day weekend. While Akshay Kumar's OMG 2 has been performing well due to good word-of-mouth, the Sunny Deol starrer still has an upper hand, with mass circuits driving its business to unprecedented numbers.

Gadar 2 vs OMG 2: Both the films run successfully in theatres

Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol took off on a flying note at the box office and saw tremendous growth over the weekend. Meanwhile, OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi also saw an increase in its box office numbers despite competition from Gadar 2 and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Both movies have collected Rs. 228.75 crore in total in four days.

As per trade analyst Sumit Kadel, OMG 2 collected Rs. 12.06 crore on Monday, taking its total collection to Rs. 55.17. Meanwhile, Gadar 2 collected a whopping Rs. 38.70 crore on Monday, taking its total box office collection to Rs 173.58 crore. Both films are unstoppable at the box office and have shown significant growth.

Occupancy of OMG 2 and Gadar 2

As per  Sacnilk, Gadar 2 had an occupancy of 54 percent across all the Hindi shows on August 14. Meanwhile, OMG 2 had an occupancy of 39 percent across all the shows on the same day. Maharashtra turned out to be the biggest contributor to OMG 2 and Delhi for Gadar 2.
