In an interview with PTI, Anil Sharma revealed that famous handpump scene was a whistle worthy moment that would draw crowds to watch Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel-starrer Gar. He said, " one was impressed when I told m about handpump scene. y told me it would look fake. shooting was on hold for two hours. entire unit was t convinced, y said 'How is this even possible?' y said don't put a commercial scene in a picture as realistic as 'Gar’”.

He furr ded, "Sometimes when you are very angry, you feel like destroying everything around you. We all have experienced that feeling. So, I thought let character uproot handpump. And after all se years, people still talk about that scene”.
