Gajraj Rao has paved himself into the Hindi film industry as a character actor. He made his debut in the 1994 film Bandit Queen then went on to feature in only a handful of films. The actor started his advertisement production house named Code Red Films back in 2004. The actor has stated in various interviews that he dedicated the majority of his time working in the advertisement industry and worked only in films in which he received good roles. Here are three of Gajraj Rao's performances which impressed the critics and audiences alike.
1) Black Friday
Black Friday released back in February 2007. Gajraj essayed the role of Dawood Phanse. Gajraj was reportedly still a lesser-known face in the industry in 2007. His performance surprised the viewers and gained a lot of attention. The film was directed by Anurag Kashyap and featured Kay Kay Menon, Aditya Srivastava and Pankaj Jha in pivotal roles.
2) Talwar
Gajraj played the character of Inspector Dhaniram in the film. The film revolved around a cop investigating a double murder case. The film was critically acclaimed and Gajraj garnered a lot of praise for portrayal of a corrupt cop. It featured Irrfan Khan in the leading role, with Gajraj playing a supporting role. The film currently stands at a rating of 8.2 on IMDB.
3) Badhaai Ho
Ayushmann Khurrana led the comedy film. Gajraj played the role of Ayushmann's father in the film. The film revolves around a 25-year-old's experience when he comes to know that his mother is pregnant. The film was a blockbuster at the box office earning over 130 crores. Gajraj's acting in a comedic role was vastly appreciated by the audience. Gajraj will be seen Ayushmann in yet another film titled Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.
