The #MeToo movement has sure made some ugly, shocking revelations, with several women alleging misconduct from some of the most celebrated men from various professional fields. Bollywood seems to be one of the most impacted by the movement, with several names getting accused of harassment. Recently, 'Queen' director Vikas Bahl was accused of sexual harassment by a female employee from the now dissolved 'Phantom films'.
Post the accusation , actress Kangana Ranaut, who worked with Bahl in 'Queen' supported the claims by the victim and said that she too was misbehaved with by the director during the shoot of the film. Vikas Bahl's ex-wife posted a statement in defense of her ex-husband and questioned the double-standards shown by Kangana Ranaut by maintaining a steady friendship with Bahl, despite the alleged misconduct.

Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Vikas Bahl's ex-wife Richa Dubey had posted a two-page document picking out 9 'loopholes' in Kangana Ranaut's statement against Vikas Bahl, thus questioning her authenticity.

While speaking about the #MeToo movement to a publication, actress Kangana Ranaut stated that the consequences, director Vikas Bahl had to face after a woman accused him of sexual harassment are absolutely apt and that the citizens of the country have to make the world a safe place for women. Adding on to her thoughts, she claimed that there are many men who make false promises of love and marriage to a girl to get them in a relationship, which is also a type of harassment. Further, taking a dig at her rumoured ex-boyfriend Hrithik Roshan, she stated that there are many men who keep their wives as trophies and keep young girls as mistresses like Hrithik and that no one should work with such people, and just boycott them.
